Amber 2 yr old Homed

Amber is in Ireland but is coming over to John in Chertsey Surrey this Friday morning. Here is what her fosterer/ Rescuer Rachel has to say about her.

Amber is 2 years old. She is a lovely young female. Good on the lead, great travelling in the car. She is fully housetrained. Amber is good with male dogs. She is a little nervous meeting people at first and will take time to gain your trust. She has not lived with cats, but is used to horses and other livestock except for chickens. She has lived in an adult home so most likely has not lived with children.

Amber's story

Amber looks a real beauty here's hoping someone wonderful comes forward to adopt her quickly.

Thanks to Morgan(Viking) Amber has arrived with me, I am told that she met auntie Sharon this morning as she was taken out of the transporter cos Sharon has a girlie just like Amber.

We went for a quiet stroll in my garden and she didnt move more than a few feet away then coming and pushing her face into my hand for assurance,I will later on in the day introduce her to Shadow a 10year old good natured gsdx collie boy after she has had some downtime.

It must have been cold boss, I've never seen you wearing so many clothes.

Only cos it was cold at 4.30am this morning to take my dogs out till she arrived honey

Gorgeous Shadow and beautiful Amber are still looking for homes as everybody can see...but we have had this rather nice idea that they may actually be able to go to a new home together!
They get on so well and although it is NOT vitally important that they stay together, if anybody were to be looking for a pair of dogs, these maybe the answer!

I have had many dogs come through my care since starting to rescue dogs for some 11years and I have to say that Shadow and Amber are in my top 20 of the easiest and most well behaved house dogs that I have looked after.

Either/both would suit as first time dogs and Shadow's initial suspicion of strangers has now passed and he is very accepting of everyone who comes to visit.

It would be so great to get these dogs into a home for Christmas and it would be Shadow's first proper Christmas too! Judging by his condition when he first arrived he was an outside dog, so for him to be curled up in front of a fire - possibly curled up with Amber - would be amazing!

Please do consider these dogs as both so deserve a good turn of fate.

Fingers crossed that these 2 beauties get to stay together and find their loving forever home before Christmas.

Just good friends

Auntie Sharon (Bruni) popped over to me today after her walk on Chertsey meads with her crew to meet the inmates here.

Amber certainly looks happy in the company of other dogs, fingers crossed that she finds her loving forever home soon.

2 days ago Amber went out on a foster to see if she would get on with cats a child and 2 other dogs, she was okay on meeting the dogs at John's. He's had a call to say that her new mum and dad are coming over to sign all the paperwork for her. Here she is with her new family.
