Here is what Mike of Vigil has to say about him.
Sid has come to Vigil because his previous owner couldn't cope with him. We suspect she was scared of him!
He doesn't appear to have been socialised with either people or other dogs and so is very wary of those he doesn't know.
However, once he gets to know someone (takes about 5 minutes and a few treats!), he gains confidence and becomes a happy friendly dog, eager for attention. Being a 7month old pup, he does mouth when playing but doesn't hurt.
We have started socialising him with good 'control' dogs. He tends to bark in their faces in an attempt to tell them to go away, but he doesn't try to bite. All noise and no teeth! While appearing aggressive it's fairly obvious he's just scared. The dogs we've mixed him with will not retaliate so he's learning to realise that other dogs aren't something to fear. With Logan, who is very tolerant and playful it looked like Sid was starting to get the idea of play. Despite having Sid barking aggressively in his face, Logan just kept prancing and dancing playfully.
Having arrived in Vigil's care it would seem Sid may be crossed with, perhaps, a little mix of Doberman but his behaviour seems typical GSD.
