Mitzi 18 month old confident girl Homed
Mitzi wants to come to the UK as soon as ohn can rehome some of the dogs he has there. Here is what Ann her rescuer has to say about her.
Hi John
I mentioned this girl to you some weeks back and I would like if you could
help her please. Mitzi is around year to 18 months - quite a stunning
looking girl and confident. She is in foster with Colm since January and
was neutered last week. I had hoped that there was a possible home for
her here in Ireland but they have not got back to us. Colm will be moving to pastures new soon and I need to move her on.
If your think she might be the girl for you please contact John on 01932 571268

More from Ann:
Mitzi was a stray into Dundalk Pound in January and its obvious that she was let wander and do her own thing before ending up in there. She is currently living with an older gsd male but is no shrinking violet on meeting strange dogs but settles down happily once she gets to know them. She recently had to go into kennels for 3 nights and it was a foster type situation and she was roaming around with about 8 dogs and lived in the house. She is clean and Colm has put a alot of work into her. She is very stunning and Colm is stopped regularly to ask where he got her from and would he be interested in breeding her.
Anyone interested in an active dog Mitzi is the dog for you. Colm walks her miles each day.

Mitzi will be coming over to John in Chertsey Surrey on Friday April 8th.
From Mitzi's fosterer.
Mitzi is a madame...
She likes her own way and isnt too fond of rules....
she'll pull on the lead to head for other dogs (shes a bit unsure about other dogs although she lives with a male shepherd no problems)... or weld her nose to the ground and refuse to move if she sniffs something of interest.... dive out the door in front of you if you let her...
Shes boisterous... she gets frustrated if you stop walking to talk to someone... and will jump on people that you meet.... shes getting better though..
She likes to 'mouth'.... like many dogs shes fond of mouthing... and will chaw on you while shes playing... or while you stop to talk to someone... again shes getting better but she needs rules...
She LOVES the car and its a real strugle to keep her OUT of it...
Mitzi has a strong guarding instinct... and will guard her house etc quite readily... this would need to be managed...
Mitzi is also VERY curious about life and has poor recall... this will need work... she'd much sooner carpet off to sniff the lamp-post than come back to you..
The good bits...
Mitzi is very affectionate... she'll nuzzle under your arm as you sit on the laptop.... she'll nibble you affectionately.... she'll take treats reasonably gently.... shes FULLY housetrained and spotlessly clean. She sleeps in the house at night and is usually very quiet.... although she does woof at the cats on the back wall (dont they all)
What does Mitzi need...?
Mitzi needs a family who are stable and calm, steady and structured....
she needs people who will continue to show her how to meet other dogs and not to jump on people...
In return Mitzi will provide a watchfull eye (she misses NOTHING!) and licks and hugs... rough and tumble play... she'll warn you when the postman comes... (two woofs)... and when the cats are peeing in your back garden (several woofs)... she'll up the average IQ of any family.... (shes very clever)... and the average looks... (shes very good looking)..
Shes also a large animal for a girl... so perhaps young children might need a special introduction..... in case they got knocked down...
