Louis 10 month old hunky boy Homed
Louis is in foster with Bruni. Said to be very good with children and other dogs, good on and off lead. He is living at present with other dogs & a cat. We are told that he lived with 2 cats and will chase them but at the bidding of the other dog in his home.
If you are interested in rehoming Louis please contact Sue Gibbons on 01444 453302
Louis's story
Some more news.
This is from Sharon (Bruni on BIGGSD):
Please meet Louis
Louis is 10 months old and came in to Vigil from a home because he has Elbow Dysplasia and after visiting the vets and having xrays he only had £500 left on his insurance.
His owners also couldn't cope with having 2 sheps under 20 months, so he had to go.
He is in foster with me at the moment until his op.
After his op he has already been offered numerous homes.
And although he's 'blue' (don't do blues) He is the sweetest hairy bear you could wish to meet towards everyone and everything. Apart from a puppy chew fest the other night he is a delight to have around and all the girls love him, including my daughter Heather.
We have been given a ball park figure of £2000 per elbow from the referal vets, he will need both doing whether together or one at a time we will not know until he see's the surgeon.
Unfortunately time is of the essence and the sooner he has the op the less pain and the less likely he will get Arthritis.
This is the reason we are starting this appeal for Louis, Diana (shoot the owner) and I when not 'doing' the Vigil stall are now also 'doing' car boots and have been really successful with our first one which all the proceeds went to 'Louis Fund' so if you can donate anything for us to car boot we would be really grateful!
I am also doing some sponser things so please watch this space (and no laughing!)
and I have my fingers crossed that some members on BIGGSD might donate towards 'Louis fund' we are setting up a paypal account on the VIGIL websie but until that is set up please pm me for an address to send cheques to if you wish to donate.
Thank you x
Alternatively please paypal louisfund@hotmail.co.uk

Re: Louis 10 month old hunky boy Homed
Thank you both sooooo much. I met Louis again at the weekend, he really is the soppiest hunk of a shep ever.
He even has his own web site:
www.louisneedsyou.com
This is his thread on the fund raising part of BIGGSD:

There are some new pics on there.

Louis (now Baloo) has found his forever home - he's staying with Sharon who's a failed fosterer AGAIN.
Re: Louis 10 month old hunky boy Homed
I am so pleased to hear that Louis has found his forever home and hope he has a happy new life with the lovely Sharon.
