Koda 2.5 year old GSD homed
Koda is a 2.5 year old spayed GSD (Black and Tan) bitch looking for her forever home. She is a beautiful girl, very clever, house trained, crate trained, basic commands, walks okay on lead etc. She has been living with another 10 year old GSD male for the last year with no issues but does not seem to get on with pushy / in your face dogs due to her past experiences.
No health issues, up to date with standard vaccinations, worming, flea treatments etc. From good pedigree with all the standard health checks, she is very bright and soaks up any training you give her like a sponge.
It's unknown what she would like be in a home with cats as she has never lived with them, I would think she would be okay with some basic manners and introduction. The same with children, she would probably need some supervision and introduction but she is not a mouthy dog at all, she can jump up when excited although this is lessening. Probably a home with slightly older children or an experienced home with younger children would be most suitable.
She has come into Vigil due to her owner's illness, unfortunately he has realised he just cannot give her what she needs and urgently needs to rehome her. She is your typical young shepherd who just wants to be loved!
Ideally she would go to an only dog home although she could go with an older, laid back dog.
Koda is in foster with John in Chertsey Surrey. Please contact him for more info or if you can offer Koda a home.

Re: Koda 2.5 year old GSD homed
Koda is leaving John tomorrow to go on a 3month intensive course to see if she will make a police do. If after the 3 months she doesn't make the grade she will be coming back to John but the signs from the Dog handler that visited earlier in the week is that up to now she's perfect for the job.
Re: Koda 2.5 year old GSD homed
Koda is coming back from the police she didnt have what it takes to be a police dog, but the training they go through will not be wasted as it will have made her a better dog, not that she wasnt a wonderfull girl when she was with me so back up for rehoming
